News sull'album classico

Con la registrazione fissata per il prossimo Novembre nella cattedrale di Pori, l'album classico di Tarja è stata oggetto di molta suspense. Ora sappiamo che sarà una collezione di Ave Maria di vari compositori, con pezzi sia noti che inediti e come intermezzo la composizione di Tarja.

L'idea di creare un CD interamente basato sulle differenti versioni dell'Ave Maria &egrace stata di Kalevi Kiviniemi. L'organista, che ha collarobato con Tarja dal 2006, lavorerà al CD, che conterrà anche arpa, violoncello e un coro femminile.

I concerti di musica classica si terranno a fine anno, dopo la data di rilascio del CD.

L'etichetta tedesca earMUSIC, parte di Edel Group, ha scelto il prossimo 27 agosto come data di pubblicazione di "Act I", il nuovo CD, DVD e Blu-ray dell'ex-cantante dei NIGHTWISH Tarja Turunen.

L'opera è stata registrata durante i concerti degli scorsi 30 e 31 marzo presso il Teatro El Círculo di Rosario, in Argentina.

Ognuno dei due show presenta una setlist differente ad eccezione di cinque canzoni, incluse "Nemo", "The Phantom Of The Opera" e "Over The Hills And Far Away".

All went fine yesterday in the studio. We were working vocals for "Killer". This is anyway just a working title . Now I am heading to studio again.

MIKE OLDFIELD release new studio album “Tubular Beats” on FEBRAURY 1ST

earMUSIC is proud to announce the release of “Tubular Beats” the brand new remix album by Mike Oldfield. The album will be released on February 1st, 2013 and will include the most popular songs by Oldfield who has worked on new arrangements and new sounds for his compositions.

All tracks have been reworked from the original multi-track recordings and remixed together by Mike Oldfield and multi-platinum awarded German producer Torsten “York” Stenzel.

Newly recorded guitar parts by Mike Oldfield have been added to the mix, making “Tubular Beats” a new album by all means. A brand new song featuring ex-Nightwish singer Tarja Turunen closes the album on a high note.

Before “Tubular Beats”, Mike Oldfield and Torsten Stenzel had already worked together but with this new album the duo could fuse their style in a full elaborate project for the first time, adding to Oldfield most famous songs their approach and taste with all solutions offered by electronic music.

Classics like “Tubular Bells”, “To France” and “Moonlight Shadow” shine again through fresh and danceable new versions. Mike Oldfield kept creative control throughout the whole production and despite the “new dress” the songs managed to keep the original melodies and structure intact, being brand new at the same time.

“Never Too Far” is a brand new song featuring singer Tarja Turunen who not surprisingly is offering one of her most emotional performances ever, being Oldfield one of the singer’s heroes.

Tarja explains:

“It was such a pleasure to work with Mike Oldfield. The song turned out to be even better than I could have ever expected. Mike has a vast career and experience in pop, instrumental and electronic music. I love his music and his personal guitar sound. My work in this song was inspired by Mike’s ‘Islands’ featuring another of my youth idol: Bonnie Tyler. A way to thank them for the nice melodies I grew up with was to add a line from their hit. And I believe Mike liked the idea too. That’s how “Never Too Far” was born. Hope that you enjoy the song as much as I do.”
